On February 7, 2022, my family found an injured kitten in our garden during heavy rain. A larger cat had attacked it. My family drove the other cat away and brought the kitten indoors.
The kitten was soaked and weak. My parents dried it and made a warm place for it to rest. At first it struggled to move and eat, and its recovery took time. We called it Diandian.
I uploaded a Chinese video about the rescue to Bilibili on February 19, 2022. It records what happened and how my family cared for it afterward.
Two years later, when I wrote the original update in 2024, Diandian had grown into an adult cat and was living with my family. Seeing the difference from those first days made me glad we had found it when we did.
The 2024 update video on YouTube shows Diandian after its recovery. This page describes that update, rather than claiming to report its condition today.
Thank you to everyone who watched the videos or sent us kind messages. I wanted to keep both recordings together so the beginning of Diandian's life with us would not be lost.
